Pyrolysis Clean Coal Gasification: Video by CASE Group

Pyrolysis Clean Coal Gasification which happens to fall under the category of SBCG (Static Bed Coal Gasification) has been able to address mostly all of the environmental challenges faced by the gasification industry. This design ensures a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) process by which all the phenolic water generated in the process is treated and used back (re-cycled) in the gasification process cycle. This takes care of the Phenolic Water concern. The tar generated in the process is professionally handled in underground concrete tanks. The tar has high fluidity and can be combusted and used as a fuel for the plants thermal applications. The coal ash generated during the gasification process is granular in form and in no way be held responsible for cause any form of air pollution. This coal ash can be used as land fill or can be used as an aggregate for making cement blocks. Thus we can see choosing the right technology not only helps the end user in preventing further damage to their environment but also save millions and millions of rupees for themselves and for the nation.

Pyrolysis Ultra Clean Gasifier Technology by CASE

When it comes to the world of engineering, CASE Group in India has so much in store for industries globally. Its been more than 25 years now that CASE is serving the various sector of industry with its state-of-art gasification technologies. As of now, the company brings Pyrolysis Ultra Clean Gasifier Technology. The technology is environment-friendly and efficient for a number of industrial applications.

Advantages of CASE Pyrolysis Ultra Clean Gas Station

  • Single Gas Outlet. Gas Composition Does Not Fluctuate- Consistent Gas.
  • All Purifying Equipment Are in Series- Low On CAPEX.
  • Less Purifying Equipment With Simple Schematics Low On OPEX.
  • Higher Purity of Gas as All Purifying Equipment Are in Series.
  • Higher Gas Thermal Value.
  • Usage of Gas Sensible Heat to Preheat the Incoming Coal.

Pyrolysis Clean Gas Technology: A brief note

Pyrolysis technology in the field of gasification is something new to learn. Google says that pyrolysis is the chemical decomposition of carbon-based materials through the application of heat. It must be noted that CASE Group in India has already introduced Pyrolysis Clean Gas Technology in India. And currently, the engineering firm is busy with some of its ongoing projects. Being highly on demand in glass industry, ceramics, chemical plants, steel to name a few, the CASE is offering state-of-the art pyrolysis technology in three variants, as per user requirement.

Pyrolysis Clean Gas Technology has huge advantages over any other variants of Gasification technologies available in the world today. Engineers at CASE have clearly explained the difference between the three variants.

  • In case of Pyrolysis Hot Clean Gas Station Indirect Cooler is not used and gas is available at 150 ℃ .
  • In case of Pyrolysis Clean Cold Gas Station Indirect Cooler is installed after the Electrostatic Precipitator bringing down the temperature of gas upto 40 ℃
  • In case of Very Clean Cold Gas Station additional ESP is installed after the Indirect Cooler to further reduce tar and dust level below 25ppm.

Features of Pyrolysis Gasification Technology

Pyrolysis gasification technology is new in the market. Yet, it is gaining immense attention among
industry owners. People associated with glass industry, cermaics, chemical industry are taking special interest.

Take a look at the special features associated with pyrolysis gasification

  • All types of coal can be used. Be it bituminous or lignite, the technology accepts all kind of coal feedstock material.
  • Coal is carbonized at low temperature in pyrolysis section
  • Tar produced is of low viscosity with high fluidity
  • Fully automatic PLC controlld gasifier equipment is used
  • The gasifier equipment is easy to operate and therefore lower OPEX.
I'll bring you with some more features. Till then, stay connected.

Availability of Coal Gas for Heat Treatment

Heat treatment plays an important role in industrial manufacturing houses. Industries dealing with steel glass, ceramics, insulators require adequate fuel for thermal applications. However, fuel price has increased considerably these days.

In order to help industries, CASE Group has come up with gasification technology which can produce high quality coal gas. The produced coal gas is of high calorific value and hence, applicable for extensive heat treatment in industries.

In this gasification technology, all types of coal can be used. Since the coal is carbonized at low temperature in the pyrolysis section, the tar produced is of low viscosity and high fluidity. There is no chance of tar being clogged in the duct.

About Coal Gasification

Coal Gasification is the process of reaction between Carbon (Coal) and Water(Steam) in presence of limited amount of Oxygen (Air) for production of CO, CnHn & H2, which is called Coal Gas

Following are the reactions which take place to produce coal gas

C+O2=CO2+Heat
C+1/2 O2=CO+ Heat
C+CO2=2CO-Heat
C+H2O=CO+H2-Heat
C+2H2O=CO2+2H2-Heat

Gasification process take place in 4 steps:
  • Drying & Charge Pre Heat
  • Pyrolysis
  • Reduction
  • Oxidation

Producer Gas composition

Producer gas has the following composition: CO: 15-20%;
H2:15-20%; CH4: 2-6%; CO2: 7-10%; N2: 40-50%
