Mr. Dhruv. Rathi, owner of Shri Rathi Steel Ltd sensed the peak fuel worries way back in 2010. Being engineer himself, he decided to prepare his factory against the future short comings. He took a decision to switch over from furnace oil to producer gas as an alternative fuel for his furnace. During this period, CASE Group in India was busy promoting their Coal Gasification Technology which ensured replacement of 100% furnace oil with producer gas.  Mr. Rathi found the concept innovative and approached Managing Director of CASE Group, Mr. Roger Kumar. Over a period of hectic technical and economical discussions, the group could impress Shri Rathi Steels Ltd. In 2011, CASE Group installed and commissioned a coal gasifier at the site- Masuri in Ghaziabad.

It’s been two years now that the gasifier is running to the utmost satisfaction. CNS 3.6 coal gasifier has been installed to generate producer gas for billet heating (25 TPH) in the Rathi’s steel plant. The success story was spread across all the Rathi Families. As a result, CASE Group could bag 8 more gasifiers from the Rathi Group.

Currently, all the gasifier plants are in progress at various stages. First of these is due to be commissioned by the first week of September 2013 at Rathi Special Steels, Bhiwadi (Rajasthan).
