Gasifiers play a vital role in steel industry and other industrial sectors. Installing gasifier on site is a long-term investment and therefore, demands adequate maintenance. 

Owing to the demand of my readers, I have come up with some maintenance tips to help a gasifier run in successful condition for long time.

• Repair Gasifier once a year

• Let the gasifier go in banking state

• Clean and check pipelines

• Be sure to change the damaged valves

• Use quality lubricating agent to lubricate each part

• Check electric instruments and connections

During the general repair of a gasifier, be sure to shut down all the plants at the gas station including blower system, gas transportation system, water circulation system and purifying equipment etc. Bring the slag out of the system, open the manhole and check the interior till you guarantee yourself with complete revamp. Also, check distortion and burning of water jacket, fire garte and support, check erosion of big and small removal plates and slag crusher, abrasion of gasifier cover and coal distributor. After completion of the checking process, check if there is any deposit such as scale etc in the water jacket interlayer and vapor drum.
